Daily departures published by Pinder's, weather permitting (no end date published)
Weather: departures can be moved earlier Pinder's warns that in rough weather or sea conditions a sailing can be delayed, rescheduled or cancelled, and that it may leave earlier than the published time. The operator asks passengers to call ahead on days with uncertain weather. It posts service updates on its Facebook page.
Freight on Wednesdays The operator offers freight-focused sailings on Wednesdays. Cargo, and luggage over 80 lb, must be confirmed with the departure port before booking or it may be redirected.
Holidays No separate times for public holidays are published. Call the departure port before travelling on Christmas, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.

Fares from the operator's fare table. The site footer says all transactions are processed in Bahamian dollars (BSD), and the operator states that VAT is included in all prices. Adult fares apply from age 12; children under 12 pay the child fare and infants under 2 ride free on an adult's lap. A ticket covers up to 2 items with a combined limit of 65 lb plus a handbag; luggage of 66 to 80 lb costs B$40 extra and heavier items may be handled as cargo. Tickets can be bought online by card, at the dock or by phone. All sales are final. Fares in Bahamian dollars (B$) unless marked US$.
Pinder's Ferry Boat Service links Crown Haven on Abaco with McLean's Town on Grand Bahama, where the dock stands at the end of the Grand Bahama Highway. The family business says it has run the crossing since 1990 and uses a fleet of five Boston Whalers set up for passengers rather than a conventional ferry. The average trip takes around 45 minutes, although sea conditions can stretch it.
There are two departures a day in each direction, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and the operator lists the same times every day of the week. In both the morning and the afternoon, Crown Haven has the earlier sailing. The dock offices open only around these departures, so phone calls are best made in those windows. Weather is the main thing to watch: Pinder's says a sailing may be held, cancelled or brought forward when the sea is rough, and it asks passengers to ring ahead on doubtful days.
Adults aged 12 and over pay B$70 one way or B$140 return, children under 12 pay B$40 or B$80, and babies under 2 travel free on a lap. The operator says VAT is already in these prices and that its payments are processed in Bahamian dollars. You can book and pay by card on pindersferry.com, buy at the dock or arrange a ticket by phone. Sales are final: the terms allow date or time changes only by calling the office at your departure port, and a ticket stays valid for six months from purchase.
Plan to reach the dock 30 minutes early. Check-in closes 10 minutes before departure, boarding follows check-in order and the boat does not wait for late arrivals. Every passenger needs a government-issued photo ID. The fare covers two pieces of luggage up to 65 lb combined plus a handbag; anything from 66 to 80 lb costs B$40 more, and heavier items count as freight. Freight runs are offered on Wednesdays, and private charters start at B$600.
One block on the operator's contact page names a Marsh Harbour dock as its Abaco terminal, yet its directions link and the rest of the site point to Crown Haven Government Dock. If you are unsure where to board, call (242) 822-8026 or (242) 577-6016 for Crown Haven and (242) 353-3062 for McLean's Town. The operator does not promise wheelchair access, so passengers with mobility needs should discuss them with the port office before booking.
- Arrive early: some operators ask you to be at the dock 30 minutes before departure and close check-in 10 minutes before.
- Weather can delay, cancel or bring forward sailings; check with the operator on the day.
- Carry government photo ID; some operators require it, and luggage over the allowance is charged.
